I use this Triangle File for slotting Bone and Metal eNuts on Floyd Rose Locking Nut Installations. It’s also very handy for slotting acoustic guitar bridges and saddles. I have also used this tool for other eNut Installations by V-Slotting the nut slots and it works extremely well for this purpose. Can also be used as a fret file for smoothing fret edges.
I’d also like to let everyone know of a little trick I’ve found extremely useful when tuning your guitar. Have you ever noticed how all tuners, whether strobe, LCD or Needle type, the needles, LCDs or displays sometimes seem to jump around making it difficult to hit the pitch dead on? The reason this happens is because of the harmonic overtones that are sounded when a string is plucked. You can eliminate these overtones by doing the following.
Turn the tone pot all the way down and switch the pickup selector to the neck position. Now tune up. By doing this you will eliminate the overtones and only the fundamental note will remain resulting is a stable tuner display, LCD or needle. Try it, it really does work!
